Puerto López is becoming a real star under the ecologists.

 

 GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT PUERTO LOPEZ

 

 

The canton's territory Puerto Lopez, Manabi province, was designated by Executive Order No. 15 21 Tourist Protected Area, which includes the resorts and areas of existing reserves.

In the article, two of the Decree further it  establishes three Resorts: The cantonal seat that enorders the supply of plants and services, distributed for the tourists; Salango that offers   attractions and a number of resources ; and the Ayampe  that offers overnight attractions and tours.

In the area of Puerto Lopez  Reserve also the following areas are established: Coastal resort area reservation, Tour booking area Ayampe and Tourist booking area parallel to the Ruta del Puerto Lopez Ayampe section.

 

Puerto Lopez, Manabi, was named Tourism Protected Area. The appointment was made by Executive Decree No. 1521. The tourist center will extend 15,140 hectares, including 770.26 acres of coastal zone. There will also be the first county in the state  which will intervene to push it completely as a turism city model.

 

Puerto López Canton is 18 years old and is one of the youngest in the country. From the top, the vast coastline reveals the beauty of this population that allows us to understand why it was declared a protected tourist area.

 

The protected area includes tourist zones  of 17,000 hectares that includes populations from Salango to Ayampe. Nearly $ 67 million budget will be used to provide this place of basic services, build a health center, schools, a fishing port and a boardwalk along the beach.

 

Minister Freddy Ehlers said during his speech that "US $ 67 million have been allocated for the project Puerto Lopez" which will be ready in 2015, introducing its new face to the world.

 

Definitely, Puerto López is becomig a "must" for the ecologist world.
